Quinceanera at Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo, California Hotel

We had an awesome time DJing Andrea’s Quinceanera at the Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo, California Hotel. The room filled with approximately 90s guests was perfect for this cozy quince. The client was extremely happy about the job we did. There was lots of singing a long songs that the guests loved and lots of dancing to Top 40, Hip Hop, 50s and 80s Rock, as well some Latin Pop, Reggaeton and tropical Cumbias and Salsa.

All in all, the staff and location where perfect. The party was a big hit and even the event coordinator asked for a business card. We look forward to DJing another gig here at the Quinceanera at Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo, California Hotel.

Wedding at Rosewood Sandhill

Upon arrival at the Rosewood Sandhill Hotel, Menlo Park, CA, we were greeted and welcomed by the in house manager and showned around for anything we needed and for the location of the wedding. The staff was beyond amazing and everything turned out perfect for Cynthia and Richard Minton.

The wedding began in the west yard where the ceremony took place which then took us right into the cocktail hour which was just a feet away. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors as we played smooth acoustic music. We then moved into the Hotel’s Birch Boardroom where had setup the main dance sound system. (more photos coming) Below you will see a quick video during initial setup and sound testing.

It was a great event and enjoyed entertaining all their friends and family to a good old rock and old and current mix of music. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for a venue to check out the Rosewood Sandhill hotel in Menlo Park, CA.

Back to school and Halloween party

As we enter the second half of the year, we often see the popularity of back to school parties and as we approach October in the Fall, we also see Halloween parties in the horizon. Let’s get this party started, right!

As for back to school parties, these can be themed around a movie or song name. Music can be plaid from the movie soundtrack along, of course, with other top 40 popular tracks of the year. Summer Party DJ or Playlist

When it comes to summer parties, it can be loads of fun because you can bring out the BBQ, music, invite all your friends and have fun all around. However, you can liven up your summer party by bringing in a DJ to give your summer party that special touch of musical enjoyment only a DJ can deliver. How, you ask? Well, for starters, playing your Spotify playlist may do the trick but having a DJ spin your favorite Top 40, Hip Hop, House/EDM or whatever you’re into, would give your party that fun vibe that will invite everyone to dance, turn up the heat with his/her mixing skills.

Additinally, when the evening arrives, the DJ will be ready with a fun light show to turn the party into the next level. If you’ve never had a DJ during your summer parties, I would highly suggest it and not only because we are DJs but because it’s a whole other experience which you could not get from a playlist on your ipod.

Some pointers for your summer party. Make sure that you have a tent for your DJ, if you don’t ask your DJ to bring one since the sun will be present. Also allow the DJ to be near or close to electric plugs they can get juice from. Other than that, be prepared to have the most fun you’ve never had. Have a great summer!
